To Kill a Mockingbird

This is my favorite book. It is a true coming of age novel set in the 1930's. The story is not only again the Finch family, but it about racism, rumors, and social injustice.

This is an interesting story about a young girl who does not know anthing about her past. Her mother is mentally disabled and an agorphobic neighbor helps them to survive. Heidi, the narrator of the story, decides to find out about her past and makes a trip from Reno to New York City. She learns a lot about herself, people, and her mother before she finishes this journey. In the end Heidi learns about her past, but she also learns that "somethings you can't know!"
